  1. Business Messages via Google Maps and Search

Google expanded business messages in Maps and Search to support businesses. It also allows website owners to integrate Business Messages directly with their customer service platforms. Google said, the recently introduced new smart replies, visual product carousels, and unique welcome messages, gives more improved connection with customers. And the business messages provides brands a comprehensive messaging solution across Android devices, and through Maps on iOS.

2.    Bing introduced visual search to product ads

For a search, user can now find products that matches visually across all sellers. This feature currently available for clothing and shoe sections only. Another option is to use image search; user can upload an image and search for similar products. Another interesting feature is ‘Goes well with’ this displays things matches for user selection of clothes.

3.    TikTok Launches 'TikTok for Business' Platform for Marketers

TikTok has introduced a business platform named TikTok for business and they said this will be the home to all current and future marketing solutions for brands.

They also said: “With the launch of TikTok For Business, we set out to embrace the creative, positive, and real moments that make our community so special with solutions for businesses to connect and grow with our wonderfully expressive community. “

  • Create Instagram ads without linking to Facebook

This feature is available to new advertisers only and currently it is available in some regions only. Users can run their ad campaign, and track ad performance, on Instagram direct without a presence in facebook.

As per Instagram:"You can now create Instagram ads without having a presence on Facebook. If you are promoting a post from your Instagram business account for the first time, you won’t have to connect to a Facebook ad account or Facebook Page."

  • Google introduced Keen, A pinterest kind of platform

Keen is a machine learning app that actively promotes relevant web pages to users. Keen uses Google Search and machine learning to help surface content that is related to user’s interest. This platform lets users curate the content which they like, share their collection with others and find new content based on what they have saved.

According to the official announcement user can Save and add links, text, images and web searches.

  • Google changes Autodelete default to 18 months

Privacy was a major concern which Google was facing for a long time. They had brought options for user to set their private data(such as location history) sharing in Google account itself. But they changed the settings to bring more privacy for users, by setting the default- delete period to 18 months.

As they said” the first time you turn on Location History—which is off by default—your auto-delete option will be set to 18 months by default. Web & App Activity auto-delete will also default to 18 months for new accounts. This means your activity data will be automatically and continuously deleted after 18 months, rather than kept until you choose to delete it.
