2. Bing migrated some features to the new Bing Webmaster portal

As Bing has updated its webmaster tools interface, it has been migrating some features to new, its been started in March and still continues. Following are the thing which they added in new interface

  • URL Submission
  • Block URL
  • Crawl Control

In addition to the above features, they also announced that Bing Webmaster APIs can now also be accessed through OAuth2.0 to enable delegated access to registered site owner's data

3.    Search Console adds new guided recipes reports

Google has a new report to help people posting recipes in their website. It helps in validating the markup instantly for individual recipes and to find issues if any.

The new guided recipes enhancement report is a dedicated report for your recipe markup. This helps in finding errors and warnings of recipe pages, and once you fix the issue you can use the same tool to notify google.

  • Facebook Expanded Verification Requirements

To ensure the authenticity of posts, facebook expanded its verification requirements for the pages with large audience.

As facebook says “Moving forward, we will verify the identity of people who have a pattern of inauthentic behavior on Facebook and whose posts start to rapidly go viral in the US. We want people to feel confident that they understand who’s behind the content they’re seeing on Facebook and this is particularly important when it comes to content that’s reaching a lot of people. “

5.Twitter Rolls Out Scheduling option

Twitter has been testing the scheduling option for a long time and now it ia available in Within the Tweet Composer Window on Desktop

As per Twitter:

"Right now, Tweet drafts saved on desktop or mobile web will be accessible via desktop or mobile web only."

6. Facebook Announces 'Shops' for Facebook and Instagram

As explained by Facebook:

7. Now Add Alt Tags More Easily on Twitter

Twitter's making it easier for users to add text descriptions to their uploaded images, with a dedicated '+ALT' button displayed on the image itself.

As explained by Twitter:

"Adding descriptions to images is a great way to include everyone in your conversation. These descriptions, aka alt-text, enable folks who use screen readers to interpret images in Tweets. Starting today, you no longer need a setting to add alt text."
