1. Package Tracking packages right on Search

Google has introduced a package tracking system that enables customers to check the status of their package right on Search. This feature is available in all countries. Shipping companies need to register with Google and to fill an eligibility requirement form to add this feature.

2. Search Console messages on a panel

Search console messages will be available on a panel which will appear on clicking the Notifications bell icon. Now messages can be accessed throughout the product, without having to leave your reports.

To make messages more actionable, a webmaster can categorize them into several types, such as Coverage, Enhancement types, Performance, and others. This will make it easier to find information about a specific issue.

3. Amazon introduces simplified registration for vendor advertising

“We're thrilled to announce that we've simplified sponsored ads registration for agencies and marketers who advertise on behalf of vendors. You can now quickly register new advertising accounts using only the approval of your authorized Vendor Central account holder”, said Amazon in their announcement

4. Google Ads to end customer support via social from Jan 1, 2020

As of January 1, 2020, direct messaging on the Google Ads’ Facebook and Twitter accounts will be deactivated. Users can contact Google through their online support form.

5. LinkedIn Adds New Features for Groups

LinkedIn added some new features for both admins and members to help group members get more engagements

6. Microsoft brings visual search to Windows search bar

“We saw an opportunity to help people save time in Windows by bringing convenient, fast web results directly to the search bar in Windows. Stay on task and in your flow, just by hitting the Windows key or clicking on the search box”, said Microsoft in their blog post.

7. Snapchat introduces Swipe-Up to Call in the Middle East

"Driving a user to call your business can close a purchase quickly, as your sales associates have more control over the user experience by speaking with the consumer directly. More importantly, a user calling showcases a high level of consideration and intent to purchase, which businesses can capitalize on."
